At Merrick Hill Commercial we can make insuring hired-in-plant easy whilst in your custody or control plus cater for your own plant.

Arranged under an engineering or Contract Works policy, cover typically includes:

a) Any physical loss or damage to the plant
b) Continuing hiring charges for the plant following a loss or damage providing insured under (a) above
c) Plant and temporary buildings hired in on site and when in transit or in store in Great Britain
c) All Risks cover (subject to certain exclusions)
d) Costs incurred in recovering immobilised plant

Subject otherwise to terms, Conditons and Exclusions under policy.

Road Registered Plant

You cannot insure any road licenced plant under an engineering or contract works policy as they do not provide any Road Traffic Act Cover, therefore, they are insured under what is commonly known as “Special Types”.

This is a flexible vehicle insurance product offering a variety of options that can be tailored to suit individual needs. Cover is available for a range of vehicles from excavators, dustcarts, cranes, forklift trucks to agricultural vehicles. Cover can be extend for equipment and trailers. This product is for Road Registered Plant owned by individuals and businesses.
